I think it's part of VMK getting ready for EPCOT! They have a nighttime show called Illuminations, Reflections of Earth. I agree, the new secret word is probably Gumbo Shirmp (or something along those lines)

I saw that show two years ago, I think. I wasn't sure was it was called though!

Okay I agree, this is getting, a little ridiculous! I can just see trying to send a message to VMK without using periods!! And what about room descriptions? We just type in a bunch of random thoughts for our rooms now? I guess we could get creative with question marks?

OK, so we are all too young to remember telegrams, but they didn't have periods either, instead they used the word "stop" at the end of every sentence.

So I vote we drive vmk crazy with the word stop stop If we all send them messages to complain about no more periods maybe we'll get some action stop

That explains alot. I was having a heck of a time trying to send people messages today. I kept trying to figure out why I kept getting the error message. I realized I had to take out the periods, but I thought it was some kind of error because it would be so ridiculous to prevent us from using a type of punctuation.

With Jake and Haley saying sentences with horrible chat spelling, I'm not surprised that VMK decided to remove periods. Also, on any day, a number of players I observe randomly either can't or choose not to spell "what", "you", "we're" correctly, let alone use a period to end their sentences, so maybe VMK decided "who needs them?"

All ridiculing aside, I believe the reason might be because a lot of players, myself included, use .'s for combining words to dictionary dance. Generally, whether for good or bad use, I think VMK doesn't really want players to dictionary dance, even though staff often do it themselves. Maybe having a . allows dictionary dance word combinations to slip through their auto chat keyword monitoring system, assuming they have one. I have no idea if they do, but removing . before removing the word "hater" from the dictionary makes no sense to me.

I agree with Shape! We need to imagine that we are sending telegrams and say stop! STOP Our quests could be about telegrams and how they were great to the world STOP

It is about time they added smee! It was kind of odd to add the costume, but not be able to say what it was!

I think it was added on Friday, but I was just a bit behind.

Well, if it was added on Friday, it must have been late Friday. Because I know that several of us Friday morning were trying to say Smee's name because of the new costume, but it wasn't working. We thought it was quite odd to have a new costume and not be able to say the name of it!
