I thought I would start this little topic for all of us who close VMK nightly together. OK, so I admit it. I am a mother and as such, I tend to worry about people when they aren't where I expect them to be! So drop a little note and let us know you are ok, and that we should not be expecting you.
I'll start:
I won't be on VMK for closing tonight because I have to go in for the second half of my sleep study tonight. I'll be back with you all tomorrow night!

I wasn't on for closing tonight because I had a really bad headache that made me cry. I laid down for a while now im kinda ok. Hope your tests come out the way you want them

After my little 3 hour nap yesterday I was up until 3am this morning. Then I had the added bonus of waking up every hour on the hour until I got ready for my all day meeting at 7:30am. 
I actually think I dozed off in the middle of typing this so no Magic tonight.

Sorry I had to leave before closing tonight - but my son informed me at 9:00 this evening that he had a 4 page newspaper project that had to be typed up by tomorrow.
I made him struggle with it until about 9:40 then I just couldn't take it anymore. It is done now...but I really didn't want to risk staying up any later!
Only 15 more days of school for this year...
And then, my daughter fell asleep part way through her homework - which, I am glad is not due until Friday, but that just leaves that much more for tomorrow!

I know how you feel Shape! Thank goodness school is out here for now. The last two weeks of school were a real pain! I drove my daughter into school at least four times. We had a try-out for a musical. I was volunteered to bring in things for a poetry reading. We had a meeting about my youngest daughter (we thought she was going to have to go to summer school!) My oldest daughter called me yesterday (on the last day of school) and said that she needed me to find her Fable that she wrote for Language Arts because she forgot to turn it in- and when I get to the school with it she says- never mind, the teacher already gave me a grade! So, yes Shape.....I am so glad school is over! And I wish you the best of luck for surviving the last two weeks of school!

I wasn't on for closing last night because Fish and I went to see the 8:00 showing of Pirates. And let me tell you, that movie is awesome!! I think I cried at least three times during the movie lol.
I probably won't be on for closing tonight. My oldest daughter has a hiking trip tomorrow and I have to take her to meet with all of them tomorrow morning. So, 1am would be a little late for me tonight.

When I got my new car I financed through the dealership. Then I found out through my bank it was a much better deal on the finance charge, like a huge difference, and automatic payment. So I went to finance with my bank instead and it has been one big headache ever since. On my closing appointment day the person who made the appoinment with me was not even scheduled to work and no one else knew what the heck was going on, but they tried to help anyway. Yeah they sent the check to the wrong place and it got sent back. So I went in again and got the branch manager involved since she knows my mom. She flipped out on the guy and said she would overnight the corrected check and take care of any finance charges that were added. So I go through my mail from when I was away and got two letters from my bank stating that they had not received my title yet and to mail it to them. Great, if only I had the title... Then there were two letters from the dealership with my returned interest and loan check. It was made out to the wrong people and sent back to me. Now I have to pay another visit to the bank. I am so very very annoyed right now I may explode.

I agree with Last....a trip would be much better than exploding. We would miss you too much if you exploded!

Wow Fairy, that's great that there are still drive-ins where you live. There used to be one right in the city where I live, but they closed and tore it down back in 1998. The sad thing is that they closed it not because of the drive-in's profitability, which was reportedly good, but because of land costs. They replaced it with a 25 screen multiplex and a large retail and food "shopping center" that has quite possibly the worst layout planning I've ever seen. I still remain discontent with our city planning as they continue to litter our small city with numerous public eye sores.
Back to the thread topic, I will not be on at all today as I will be out for the night after work.
I'm sick and have to get up early in the morning for blood tests.

My daughter is starting a couple of classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings now. They start at 9 am, so until we get this schedule worked out, I'll be calling early nights on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I won't be on for closing because I didn't get any sleep last night because I was up all night doing homework. I couldn't do it on saturday because I had my dance recital ( I had to do both shows , ugh! ) and I couldn't do it there since I needed to type everything out Then I had a field hockey game Sunday afternoon , so that took away 4 hours. Yes, there is a VMKaddict closing party every night. It is always some place different.
I haven't been on lately at night because I have been playing "Travel Agent". I'm trying to figure out where we are going next month.

Around closing time try searching for some of our members rooms. Most everyone has their VMK title entered in their profile here. You may be able to arrange meeting with someone prior to close so they can let you know where everyone is at closing.
