I thought I would start a thread where every day where something happened in VMK a year or two ago I would post it so that we can remember it. I'd like to start with yesterday, since something interesting happened.
June 18, 2005: VMK staff members asked all players to parade around Main Street. Some staff hid among the trees and some of the players who found then got inferno, this was the first inferno giveaway in the history of VMK!
Now back to today's stuff.
June 19, 2006: The Bombarment pin was retired
I will update this every day something happened, and eventually I will get the whole year's of this!

In the past few years, today was a quiet day in VMK.
Again, in the past few years, today was a quiet VMK day. However tomorrow, something will happen!
On today, June 25 in 2006... the Burning Village (then known as Pirates pin 5/5) was released.
TODAY WAS THE LAST DAY OF BETA TESTING!!! (On June 27, 2006) Too bad VMK doesn't have a pin this year 
Today, June 28 in 2005 was the first day in VMK not in beta!
If you go forward a year from VMK's first day out of beta, you'll get to a point where a new loading screen advertising the waterparks came up.

July 1st - The Cast Slide-a-thon event began
July 2nd - The Cast Slide-a-thon ended
July 4th - The Independance Day quest was released and the 4th of July hat was on sale for 1000 credits in the Emporium
July 5th - A lot of slide items were released, they were: the palm trunk and top, Typhoon Lagoon Yellow Crate, the Raft couch, the BB small and large rocks, and all the waterslide pieces (except ups and downs). These were all released in Ned's shop.

Last year, they released the Summer Splash Quest, which you could get a Tiki Fountain and a Treasure Detector Magic (single use) from.
On July 7th, 2006 VMK released a quest for the Typhoon Lagoon room and released the Typhoon Lagoon pin. They also retired the Summer Splash Quest.

THis stuff is really interesting. It doesn't feel like a year ago today that the Typhoon Lagoon room was first released.

I'm a day late, but on July 11, 2006 they retired the Typhoon Lagoon pin.
July 14, 2006 - The Kellogs Conquer the Sea game opened... the prizes were a Pirate at the Helm, Treasure Map table and a brown treasure chest seat.
July 14, 2006 - THe Blizzard Beach Quest was released... the prize was a Blizzard Beach Guest Room. VMK also released the Blizzard Beach pin in the Emporium for 500 Credits.
July 15, 2005 - The Skull Rock room was added to the Kellogs Conquer the Sea prizes.
July 16, 2005 - 50th Celebration room decorating event: Players were asked to decorate there rooms to be judged. The rooms that were best decorated for the 50th Celebration were givien prizes.
July 17, 2005 - Space Room Decorating Event - Players were asked to decorate their rooms to look like what space meant to them. THe rooms were judged and the winners recieved prizes.
July 17, 2006 - VMK Celebrates its first birthday! There was a quest in the Q button with the prize of a VMK birthday pin. Also, VMK released the green 50th chair for one day in the Emporium for 500 Credits each and retired the BB pin.

I know an event that happened this month, the infamous ATIS mighty eye was accidently released for not even a day.
I haven't done this in a few days... here is what is up to today:
July 30, 2005 - All the rocketships were retired.
July 31, 2006 - The Pirate Quest started at WDW. And the Summit Plummet Pin was retired.
August 2, 2006 - The Churro pin becomes the new Host_ pin.
