Check this out...
http://www.gpvmk.comThis guy made an entire recreated VMK, it has all of the rooms, NPCs, animation, and some of the music. It's almost like you're actually playing it. It made me a little sad, but it's extremely impressive. Enjoy.

Umm... Isn't VMK COPRIGHTED?? That's kinda illegal. O.o

Yes, but you can't actually play it. You can't walk around or anything, and he didn't say that he made all of the rooms and stuff, he just took screenshots and video. And you can't actually walk around, you don't have a person. I assume it's okay.

LOL. I was just about to post a link to this site - amazing work - I "glove" the site, but have to admit it makes me a little sad to wander around, thinking of all the good VMK times I had.
Talk about a "labor of love", this had to have been a huge amount of work - Flash is not always the easiest development tool to use, and this person has done just an amazing job.

Wow, how amazing it was to be able to look back at VMK. As I entered Main Street, I half expected there to be floating heads on top of tornado bodies, though, and that made me sad. Oh man, I want VMK back!

He also has a little disclaimer saying that it is all a copyright of Disney, so he isn't violating copyright in anyway, so we don't have to worry.
Whoever made that did an amazing job! It almost look exactly like the real VMK!

Oh wow, I visited two rooms and it made me so sad I had to stop. I'll save this thought though for when I need a VMK Fix.

That website is awesome. I can't believe how real it felt when it loaded. It just made me so sad

I wish we could all agree on another game to play. I've signed up for at least 5 since VMK closed, with the intention of meeting up with other Addicts. I think the only site I've been able to find anyone on is Bittybay.

That's incredible! I'm amazed that they were able to have the animation on there, have the NPCs be clickable, have the green and red cursor spaces where we would normally be walking, and have the Fantasyland map with both the Spell Room and the Fantasyland Courtyard. How did they pull that one off?

Has anyone noticed that the same boat with the same blonde haired girl floats down the river in the boat in several of the rooms?
I keep expecting to see a character appear every time I enter a room. It is so realistic!!

Wow. That must have taken some time to create with all those added details. Visting the rooms and hearing some of the music made me feel a little depressed though as I couldn't see my very familiar avatar entering the room. Although seeing the bunny actually come out of the hat in the Magic Shop lifted my spirits. Gosh I miss Vmk.

Well - I don't know all of the details, but I have corresponded with the creator of the site via email ... from what I understand, the entire "movie" is a gigantic Macromedia Flash project, and I'm told that it's over 30GB in size, with more to come.
Quite an effort, to be sure.

I am glad you are all enjoying it.
I have also added the old Pirates of the Caribbean Lobby, but it is hidden. You will have to look a bit for it, but if you go to the current lobby that is a great place to start.
Try the treasure chests in the Treasure room and try the Sword in the Stone too.
Hop on the Rides for Alice and Peter Pan they have music now and will be animated later.
I have had a great time making this and decided to share it with others, but do enjoy it while you can; if Disney asks me to take it down it will be down with in hours of receipt.
Have fun

I find myself missing VMK even more than usual these days, but just took a stroll around GPDOT's memories website, which continues to be enhanced over time.
It made me feel a bit better to take that virtual walk around the kingdom, so thought this thread deserved a bump.
Happy holidays to all my VMK / VMKAddict buddies!
